SOUAD HAYEL

Souad has more than twenty years of experience with Andersen, Ernst & Young, the public service arms of Chemonics, Bearing Point, Deloitte Consulting LLP and UN agencies. Prior to co-founding BitMal, she worked with the World Bank and IFC for seven years in Washington DC. Souad holds a Master in Management from Boston University, a Master in Public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School and is the recipient of the Kuwait Foundation Fellowship for Outstanding Leaders administered by the Middle East initiative at the Belfer Centre / Harvard Kennedy School. Souad studied and worked in France, Belgium, US, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan. She was the president of the Harvard Arab Alumni Association, a non for profit association accounting for more than 4000 Harvard alumni.
